In January 2019, the popular actor Hossein Moheb-Ahari passed away in Tehran. 

Moheb-Ahari, who was cinema, theatre and television actor, died from lymph node cancer at the age of 67.

About a month later, Khashayar Alvand, the screenwriter of ifilm series ‘The Man with a Thousand Faces’, died at the age of 51. He died of heart attack.

In May, Young pop star Behnam Safavi passed away after years of battling cancer.

We also lost two prominent cineastes in August.

Seyyed-Kamal Tabatabaee, the producer of ifilm series ‘Relatively Bad Guys’, passed away on August 7 at the age of 58 after cardiac arrest. The producer lost his son, Seyyed-Ali, who was an actor, about four years ago.

On August 25, Iran’s cinema, theater and television actor Daryoush Asadzadeh passed away at the age of 96.

Veteran theater and cinema actor Ebrahim Abadi died at the age of 85 late in October.

Meanwhile, the eventful year of 2019 saw weddings of popular Iranian stars.

Shiva Taheri, the actress of 'Passing through the Hardships', tied the knot in May while diving underwater and Sogol Tahmasbi, the actress of ifilm popular series ‘Kimia’, got married in August.

In July, Negar Javaheriyan and her husband Rambod Javan welcomed their first baby, a daugher named Nourdokht.
